Freshmen Take Championship
Greensburg, PA - The Freshmen Lions had an outstanding performance winning the Franklin Regional Tournament Championship Thursday night at Center Ice Arena. They dominated the Gateway Gators shutting them out 8 - 0.
Dom Antonucci, Sean Beichner and Regie Garris each had two goals on the night. Cody Austad and Denny March each added one goal.
Sean Beichner led the team with four assists, Regie Garris had two and Chase Ellis had one.
The Lions launched an amazing 40 shots at Gateway throughout the evening.
Andy Boschert was flawless rejecting six shots to earn the shutout.
The Freshmen and Varsity Lions kick off their regular season this Monday at 7:15 PM and 8:35 PM respectively at the Kirk S.Nevin Arena.
